NESA has published clarified ACE Rules on the NSW Curriculum website. The clarified rules come into effect from 14 October 2024. Schools must not implement the clarified rules before this date. Schools must continue to use the ACE Rules on this website until 14 October 2024.

Entry of HSC school-based assessment marks for courses studied outside the home school

Where a course is studied outside the home school (eg NSW School of Languages, TAFE Digital, Saturday School) the school-based assessment marks are submitted by the teaching school.

In the case of a course studied with an outside tutor, the tutor must provide the school-based assessment mark to the student's home school. The home school will then submit it to NESA via Schools Online .
